Since the first event in 1989, Teaterdagarna has established itself as a very important meeting place for the Swedish theatre. It gathers representatives of artists, venues, audiences, the political sphere, and so on – across all borders of profession and interest. The event offers a variety of performances, lectures, seminars, workshops and debates.
The venue – Riksteatern’s building in Botkyrka, a multicultural suburb some 10 miles south of Stockholm – is unique with its possibility to host such a big event with approximately 1000 participants.
The programme has a large variety which means that every participant can find his/her ”trail” of interest. The aim is that everybody will leave the event and go home, filled with experiences that will give strength to change and development.
